Daily Outfit

Last night we had date night plus one. My brother decided to join us at the last minute and we’re sure glad he did! We had a blast with him, as always! Here’s what I wore:

• Jacket - J. Crew
• Blouse - DKNY
• Jeans - J Brand
• Boots - Frye
• Bag - Bendels
• Cuff - Juicy Couture
• Ring - AE from years ago

This outfit is a great example of why I would rather pay a little more for something good quality and that I love rather than fritter away ten or twenty dollars on things I’ll only wear once. I have had that DKNY blouse for two years and it’s amazing how versatile it is. I paid more than I normally would for it but it has totally become a closet staple for me. 

Can’t say the same for the jacket. I scored that one for $30!! Down from $250!! That’s an example of when an amazing deal still makes me smile!

Daily Outfit

We hadn’t had a “proper” date night since my return from Cali so on Saturday night we got all gussied up for a lovely dinner. And yes I am in fact wearing the same dress that Tamra wore on the season finale of RHOOC. Kevin joked and said that he found it “not appropriate for my age.” Right.

This dress really is fabulous though. Love how easy it is and yet how fun!

Daily Outfit

I haven’t done one of these in a while but my new shirt and sunny outlook about being home inspired me to take a picture of my outfit for date night!

• Bag - Kate Spade (a gift from Kevin thanks to the sample sale last week)
• Jeans - Les Halles (one of my new favorite jean brands that I picked up at Marshall’s for $5, yes that’s correct, $5)
• Boots - Target

This was so fun and fresh and a great break from all my sweaters.

Daily Outfit

A few of you have asked me to show an outfit that I would typically wear to the grocery store or shopping. Well here you go my dears! This is what I just wore to the bookstore:

• Bracelet - Juicy Couture
• Bag - South Moon Under
• Jeans - J Brand
• Boots - Target

Basically I just try to layer as many soft, comfortable pieces as I can while still looking put together. This “sweatshirt” jacket is perfect for something like this, it’s almost like “pajama jeans!”

Most of you requested that I do a “Valentine’s Day” outfit today. And so here it is!

You’ve probably noticed that I re-use a lot of the accessories I have and why not?! Ad you can see the Vera Wang necklace that I wear so much has a completely different look when placed on a bare neck as opposed to over an item of clothing. And the clutch? A lovely black patent leather clutch will go with any outfit, invest in one!

To be honest with you I was a little nervous about wearing so much color to work as well as sandals with tights but by the end of the day I loved it! I kept looking down at my tights and shoes every now and then for a little pick-me up! This definitely gave me the confidence I needed to try more outfits like this!

I didn’t have time to snap an outfit picture this morning but I thought why let that stop me? So with the help of polyvore I bring you today’s outfit:

• Shoes - pictured: Louboutins (I’m actually wearing a similar pair by Juicy Couture)
• Watch - pictured: Michael Kors (I’m actually wearing my mum’s Gucci)

I woke up this morning and I just knew that I wanted color. And lots of it! I was inspired by a Coach ad I saw months and months ago that paired bright colored tights with sandals. Genius!

Last week Alicia mentioned that her birthday is coming and she would like to see a birthday outfit that she could wear to dinner with her friends. Here’s what I put together:

I kept the accessories to a minimum since the rest of the outfit is popping with color! But what are birthdays for if not to have fun and go a little crazy?!

So a few of you requested that I give you suggestions for a “brunch outfit.” Here are my suggestions: go simple, comfortable, but chic. Boots are always a great look as is a flattering but warm sweater. Lastly, never forget that element of fun! Add some color with a purse or a cute piece of jewelry.
